At Rock Hill Hunting Club we have been carefully managing wildlife since the beginning stages of the organization. Wildlife management is a "key element" of our success and serves as a driving force behind continuing operations.
We are proud to say that we rely heavily on our local/state biologists and game wardens for guidance in the field.
In the beginning stages of our whitetail deer and turkey management program, we turned to Dr. Steve Demarais, Wildlife & Fisheries Professor at Mississippi State University. Being an Ole Miss graduate, I was reluctant to reach out to a MSU professor for advice. After several Ole Miss Vs. Mississippi State jokes and pranks had been pulled, the ice was broken and it was game on!
Dr. Steve Damarais
After Dr. Damarais's initial study in 2006, Mrs. Amy Blalock (DWFP Biologist) took over our QDM program. After working with Amy for several years, our program grew beyond our expectations. In late 2010, Amy was promoted wihtin the DWFP handing our program over to Mr. William McKinley.
In 2011 we were assigned our current DWFP biologist, Mr. William McKinley (East-Central Region Biologist). Mr. McKinley developed a plan that has proven very effective over the past couple of years. We have definitely seen a great improvement and would highly recommend his services to other clubs throughout the region.
Mr. McKinley and his associates continue to work with our organization to determine the optimal game management practices to be employed . We are excited to work with such exceptional talent!

Nice Buck Track!
